Collection: Cultured Ghee

Hichkie Cultured Ghee is a deeply aromatic bilona ghee made in small batches by churning cultured cream the traditional way. It is lab-tested for purity and packed in glass.

What is cultured ghee?

Cultured ghee starts with cream that has been set with a culture, then churned into butter and slow-heated. The culturing gives it a deeper, slightly tangy aroma and a rich taste that many people describe as the closest thing to old-style homemade ghee.

Cultured ghee or A2 cow ghee?

Choose cultured ghee for a bolder aroma and flavour, and A2 cow ghee for a lighter, golden everyday ghee. Our guide to A2, bilona and desi ghee explains how they differ, and this article shows how bilona ghee is made.
